Business & Admin Apprentice

Admin Duties to include:

• Effectively and accurately handling customer service enquiries
• Maintenance of computerised and manual records
• Day to day filing/photocopying/scanning
• Monitoring stationery stock levels and ordering when appropriate
• Production of documentation for signing by customers
• Liasing with suppliers to request invoice’s and any amendments
• Contacting funders to provide relevant information and ensure payouts are smoothly processed
• To ensure educational aspects of the Apprenticeship are completed in a timely manner
• Assisting our Quantity Surveyors and Estimators with day-to-day commercial activities
• Supporting the preparation of estimates, quotations and tenders
• Learning how to read and understand drawings, specifications and schedules
• Assisting with the preparation and checking of quantities and costs
• Helping to gather pricing and supplier information
• Supporting the team with purchase orders, invoices and commercial records
• Assisting with the administration of projects and maintaining accurate documentation
• Learning about budgets, costs, variations and financial reporting
• Using computer systems and Microsoft Office to record and manage information
• Working closely with other members of the commercial and project teams
• Taking on additional responsibilities as your skills and experience develop

• You will be working towards a Level 3 Business Administrator apprenticeship standard qualification
• The apprenticeship consists of a mixture of off the job training and on the job mentoring and development within the workplace
• You will be required to attend St Austell College fortnightly, with some elements of the course being delivered online

This is an excellent opportunity for someone keen to learn and who wants to gain valuable experience working alongside our Quantity Surveyors (QSs), Estimators and experienced commercial team. Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship there is potential to gain further qualifications and a job role within the company. 

The work start date with Sureflow is as soon as possible, but the apprenticeship start date at college might be as late as January 2027.
