Dental nurse (level 3)
A great opportunity has come up for the successful candidate to join our friendly team at Castle Dental Care. As an apprentice dental nurse, you will assist the dentist and undergo full training to develop skills to enable you to progress.
The work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
Duties will include:
- Assisting the dentist chairside
- Updating client records
- Cleaning and decontamination of tools
- Surgery
- Reception duties
- General admin duties
Training
- Level 3 Dental Nurse Apprenticeship Standard
- Functional Skills maths and English (if required)
- A level 3 qualification has been approved by the General Dental Council as meeting the requirements for entry to the professional register as a dental nurse.
- This is a weekly day-release program where the apprentice attends one of PTPs centres/ or attends an online Microsoft Teams to work towards their qualification.

We are a well established NHS dental Practice, located 10 minutes from the City Centre. We are an 8 surgery practice with a loyal patient base and a long standing clinical, nursing and reception team. We pride ourselves in ensuring we follow protocols and strive for best practice. We value teaching and education and both the practice Principals are Educational Supervisors.
