Property maintenance operative (level 2)
Kick-start your career with a Property Maintenance Apprenticeship. You'll gain hands-on experience carrying out repairs, maintenance and property improvements while learning from an experienced team. It's a great opportunity to build practical skills, gain a recognised qualification and start a career in property maintenance.
The work
- Help clear and clean empty properties ready for new service users
- Carry out a range of property repairs and general maintenance tasks
- Help ensure properties meet Bedspace Ofsted Standards
- Work safely and follow Bedspace Health & Safety policies and procedures
- Work with the Maintenance and Housing teams to prioritise properties and complete work efficiently
- Complete work to a high standard and meet agreed repair targets
- Communicate with colleagues and other teams throughout the working day
- Follow the Maintenance Staff Code of Conduct and maintain confidentiality when working in properties
What you come out with
After completing the Multi-Skills Property Maintenance Apprenticeship, there may be opportunities to progress into a Property Maintenance Operative role. With further experience and training, you could develop into a multi-skilled operative, specialist trade role, senior operative or team leader, building a long-term career within property maintenance and repairs.
