Supply chain warehouse operative (level 2)
This apprenticeship role will support the warehouse operation, assisting with the safe and efficient loading and unloading of trailers and vehicles for deliveries and collections. The role will provide practical experience in warehouse operations, goods handling, health and safety, and the preparation of freight for onward distribution.
The work
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised warehouse and yard.
- Scanning freight accurately using the relevant warehouse systems.
- Labelling freight correctly in preparation for delivery or onward distribution.
- Assisting with the safe loading and unloading of vehicles and trailers.
- Operating a forklift truck (FLT) once the appropriate training and authorisation have been completed.
