Apprentice Floorlayer

The apprentice will learn how to:

• Prepare floors ready for installation, including cleaning and levelling subfloors.
• Measure rooms and help calculate the materials needed for each job.
• Install carpets, vinyl flooring and luxury vinyl tiles (LVT) to a high standard.
• Use specialist flooring tools and equipment safely and correctly.
  Handle and transport flooring materials carefully.
• Work alongside experienced floorlayers to complete installations in customers' homes.
• Keep work areas clean, tidy and safe.
• Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
• Provide friendly and professional customer service.
• Attend apprenticeship training and complete coursework and assessments.

During your Level 2 Floor Layer apprenticeship programme you will receive training both off and on-the-job. You will be trained at the employer within the workplace and also at Webs Training in Beeston on a block release basis for a week at a time every 10 weeks, costs are covered by the employer

Excellent opportunities to progress into a qualified floorlayer position after successfully completing the apprenticeship.
