Business Services Apprentice
Derbyshire County Council · MATLOCK, DE4 3AG
Business administrator (level 3)
Exploring a new career path and want to build real skills while earning.
We will support you to succeed every step of the way and you don’t need lots of experience. We’re looking for someone who’s positive, organised and keen to learn. If that sounds like you, we would welcome your application.
The work
You’ll get plenty of variety in your day-to-day work. You’ll rotate across different areas of business services, giving you the chance to try out a variety of roles, learn quickly and find out what you enjoy most. It’s a brilliant way to build experience if you’re still figuring out what direction you want to take your career.
You’ll also benefit from generous annual leave, student discounts, wellbeing support and a friendly apprenticeship community that’s here to help you thrive.
If you’re motivated, curious and ready to start building your future, we’d love to hear from you!
🔍A typical day may look like…
A typical day could include responding to enquiries, updating records, preparing documents and supporting meetings, while working with colleagues across different teams. You’ll use a range of digital systems, develop your organisation and communication skills, and take on new tasks as your confidence grows—with plenty of support along the way.
What you come out with
As an apprentice, you’ll join a supportive apprenticeship community where you can earn a wage, gain a nationally recognised qualification, and develop valuable workplace skills, making it an excellent choice whether you’re leaving school or college, or looking to.
