Paraplanner and financial planner (level 4)
We’re seeking an Apprentice Paraplanner to support our team of Independent Financial Advisers. Joining a collaborative, client-focused environment, you’ll help deliver holistic financial planning for private and business clients, ensuring advice is accurate, compliant and tailored to individual needs.
The work
- Supporting three IFAs
- Attending client meetings (where practical)
- Producing high-quality suitability reports across a range of financial planning areas, including Cash Flow Modelling
- Conducting technical research across pensions, investments, protection and financial planning solutions
- Supporting advisers with complex client cases from initial research through to recommendation
- Maintaining accurate client records
- Supporting annual reviews
- Preparing client documentation and technical analysis
Training
An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. Off-the-job training will follow the time allocations outlined in the Occupational Standard.

Your training will be completed online via your workplace address.
You will achieve the Paraplanner and Financial Planner Level 4 Apprenticeship Standard:
- Fully and part funded learning and development programme that includes the DipPFS Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning
- Develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours of successful Paraplanners
- Free CII membership for non-members through the CII Aspire Apprenticeship Programme for those who have not previously been a paid member
- Includes CII digital study book and exam entry for each R0 exam
- The Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning includes:

R02 Investment Principles and Risk
R03 Personal Taxation
R04 Pensions and Retirement Planning
R05 Financial Protection
R06 Financial Planning Practice - Multiple seminars per R0 exam!

Qualifications
- Essential · GCSE 5 subjects including Maths & English 4/C or above
- Desired · A Level Business, Maths, Law or Economics N/A
Pay extras and benefits
- Full study support towards Chartered status on completion of the apprenticeship, including paid study leave and exam funding
- Death in Service 4 x salary
- Long-term sickness pay
- 5% employer pension contribution
- 33 days holiday (including bank holidays), increasing after 5 years’ service.
£23,200 a year
