Groundworker (level 2)
Working in the commercial sector on a variety of sites, you’ll share a van with a senior Groundworker. The day to day job varies hugely so will require on the job learning as we don’t specialise in any one task.
You’ll learn a multitude of skills that will transfer across the construction industry.
The work
Various day to day tasks but primarily groundwork & civil including:
- Concreting
- Shuttering
- Ducting
- Drainage
Training
- Any plant certs: Dumper, Roller, Excavator
- Asbestos awareness
- Manual handling
- Working at height
- Abrasive wheels
- Substation authorisation
Training provider: WIGAN AND LEIGH COLLEGE

You’ll rarely be working more than 1 hour from your house & be working with highly skilled groundworkers.
