Beauty Therapist Apprentice

You’ll assist senior therapists and learn a range of skills and techniques. You’ll work closely with clients and will need the ability to put them at ease, and generally be pleasant and personable, as well as learning the modules of the course the duties and responsibilities involved in this role include:

• Meeting and greeting clients in a friendly and helpful manner.
• Making appointments over the phone and in person for clients and assisting with reception duties.
• Keeping the salon clean and tidy.
• Stock management and placing orders.
• You will learn how to carry out manicures, pedicures, facials, waxing, lash and brows and makeup.

Training will be completed through a combination of weekly day-release attendance at Preston College and practical learning within the salon. Apprentices will attend college one day per week to develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours required for their qualification, while spending the remainder of their time gaining hands-on experience in the workplace.

Working alongside experienced therapists, apprentices will apply their learning in a real salon environment, developing practical skills in beauty treatments, client care and professional salon practices. This blended approach provides the opportunity to gain a recognised qualification while building valuable industry experience.
