Job Description – Apprentice Hairdresser

As an Apprentice Hairdresser at Molbys Ladies in Huntingdon, You'll become an important part of our friendly salon team, learning from experienced stylists while developing the skills and confidence needed to become a qualified hairdresser.

Your daily tasks will include:

• Welcoming clients and helping them feel comfortable and cared for throughout their visit.
• Shampooing, conditioning and preparing clients for their appointments as your training progresses.
• Assisting experienced stylists with hairdressing services and learning professional techniques.
• Preparing styling stations, tools and products ready for appointments.
• Developing practical skills in blow-drying, styling, colouring and cutting under supervision.
• Learning about professional haircare products and treatments.
• Helping maintain the salon's high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation.
• Supporting the reception team, offering refreshments and ensuring clients receive excellent customer service.
• Working alongside the team to keep the salon running smoothly.

You will have education via Cambridge Regional College and you'll receive hands-on training, regular coaching and ongoing support from our dedicated Training Manager and experienced stylists. Alongside your salon experience, you'll attend apprenticeship training, complete coursework and work towards your recognised hairdressing qualification.

As your confidence and skills grow, you'll gradually take on more responsibility and have opportunities to work with clients under supervision.

Upon completing your apprenticeship, you'll have the opportunity to progress into a Stylist role at Molbys Ladies, with further career development into Senior, Artistic or Creative Stylist positions.
