Duties and Responsibilities

Meeting with training provider and completing assignments on time
To attend team meetings and participate in sharing ideas
Under supervision provide all aspects of care for children, including washing, changing and assisting with eating
To assist with meeting the personal, social and emotional needs of individual children
To provide adult-led interactions with children in the setting
To attend all training relevant to the role and deemed appropriate by the manager/training provider
To be aware of and abide by the setting’s safeguarding and child protection policy, confidentiality policy and all other policies the manager deems appropriate
To work as part of the team, support all staff and engage in a good staff atmosphere

General

Contribute to good standards of safety, hygiene and cleanliness in the nursery
Always carry out duties in compliance with the nursery’s equal opportunities policy. Be constantly aware of the individual needs of all children
Develop and maintain strong, respectful partnerships and communications with parents and staff members
Be aware of the community profile of the setting and uphold its standards at all times
Be aware of all emergency and fire evacuation procedures and health and safety policies
