Construction support technician (level 3)
As part of the project delivery team responsible for the design, off-site manufacture and on-site construction of a portfolio of schemes ranging from flooring and tanks to high-rise residential, student villages to prisons, the Contract Administration Apprentice is responsible for assisting with the commercial and contractual management of the projects.
You will work within the Commercial team under the support and supervision of a dedicated mentor.
The work
As part of the project delivery team responsible for the design, off-site manufacture and on-site construction of a portfolio of schemes ranging from flooring and tanks to high-rise residential, student villages to prisons, the Contract Administration Apprentice is responsible for assisting with the commercial and contractual management of the projects.
You will work within the Commercial team under the support and supervision of a dedicated mentor.
What you will do in the short term:

Initially you will spend time learning about the products and services that we provide.

With other colleagues, you will attend meetings with internal stakeholders and external customers.

You will visit our production and construction sites to learn how we produce components off site and construct the works on site.

You will learn how to navigate our internal systems.
What you will do in the long term:

You will administer the contracts negotiated by the commercial department, including raising applications for payment, issuing relevant notices and ensuring each contract is correctly administered.

You will be given the opportunity and support to progress your professional development.
Training
As part of your Apprenticeship, you will be enrolled onto a nationally recognised Construction Support Technician Level 3 standard via our training partner, Learning Skills Partnership. Your Apprenticeship typically takes 23 months to complete and is fully supported through a combination of regular online lessons, e-learning materials, and access to their team of experts for 1-2-1 advice and support.
