Apprentice Groundworker Level 2

• Site preparation — clearing land, marking out work areas and supporting initial groundworks
• Excavation — digging trenches for foundations, drainage and utilities
• Concrete and surfacing — assisting with laying concrete, kerbs, paving and other hard‑surface materials
• Drainage installation — helping install pipes and ducting.
• Tools and machinery — using hand tools and small plant under supervision
• Materials handling — loading, unloading and organising materials
• Following instructions from supervisors and working to site plans
• Maintaining a clean, safe working environment
• Adhering to all health and safety requirements

• Training delivered at the NHBC Lichfield Hub, Ivison Way, Curborough, Lichfield WS13 8ES
• Around 1 week in every 7 for a 1 week block release (2 weeks at the start of the course) starting March 2027

• Site Foreman (with further training)

Obtainig a CSCS card before going on site (we can help with this).
